Work at Burnaby Terminal includes the removal of one existing storage tank and the installation of 14 new storage tanks. An enhanced storm water treatment system will be installed and four non-fish-bearing watercourses will be relocated within the terminal. Additionally, tunnel portal construction for the Burnaby Mountain Tunnel will take place within Burnaby Terminal. Relocation activities, approved by the Canada Energy Regulator independently of the Expansion Project, are also ongoing.

Trans Mountain is commissioning the final components of Westridge Marine Terminal’s newly constructed facilities to support the continued operations of the existing Line 1, including the new Berths 2 and 3, as well as additional infrastructure such as the new delivery lines and the marine vapour control system. You may notice increased activity which can include intermittent noise and odours. Odours are unlikely, but should they occur, they will be temporary, and their dispersal will be weather-dependent. General construction activities related to the Project currently take place during the regular construction hours of 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. All work will adhere to the requirements and conditions originally outlines Vancouver Fraser Port Authority permit #19-162.

This site will be used as a transportation hub and a contractor yard or office to manage the Project's engineering, construction, safety and security. This includes storing, maintaining and staging equipment, vehicles and materials, and a stockpile site to accommodate storage and distribution of materials.

This site will be used as a temporary parking lot for contractor parking and shuttle bus staging. Peak hours for traffic entering or exiting the site will be 6:00 am to 8:00 am, and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, seven days per week.
